Big Spring HS in Newville, PA is currently looking to hire a Battery Instructor for the 2017/2018 school year. This position is paid by the school district and supplemented by the Band Boosters.
Big Spring rehearses on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the fall in the evening. In addition, we are looking to restart our dormant indoor percussion program with the right instructors in place.

The Council Rock North Marching Band is looking for a Colorguard/Winterguard Instructor to be present at all rehearsals, games, and competitions, including Band Camp. During Marching Band season, rehearsals are usually on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-5:30. Football games are usually on Fridays, and Competitions are on Saturdays. Band Camp takes place in the second and third full weeks of August. The fall rehearsal schedule begins when Band Camp ends. Winterguard begins in December and runs into the spring. Winterguard rehearses twice during the week and once on the weekend (Saturday). The Colorguard/Winterguard Instructor’s duties include working with the Band Director to design the field show, designing the Winterguard show, designing/teaching all choreography/work for both fall and winter shows, and coordinating the Winterguard schedule.
The Council Rock North Marching Band is looking for a Pit (Front Ensemble) Instructor to be present at all rehearsals, games, and competitions, including Band Camp. There are three rehearsals per week (two with the entire Band from 3:00-5:30 and one devoted percussion sectional to be determined based on the Instructor’s availability). Football games are usually on Fridays, and Competitions are on Saturdays. Band Camp takes place in the second and third full weeks of August. The fall rehearsal schedule begins when Band Camp ends. The Pit Instructor will work with students to facilitate learning music for the competition show, football games, and parades as well as technical development on the instruments.

Jazz Director Position Opening:
Council Rock High School South has an opening for the Concert Jazz Band (Top Jazz Band) starting in the 2017-18 school year. The position would require directing 2 to 3 rehearsals per week (typically 3:00 to 5:30 or 7:00 to 9:00) starting after the November auditions until April. Then, sporadic rehearsals are held as needed until the last performances in May and June. Performances would include school concerts, competitions, and community events.

Central Bucks South is looking for a percussion staff for the 2017 marching band season. We need a battery teacher and a front ensemble teacher. The ensemble practices on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6pm-9pm. We have a very strong percussion section at a well-supported school.
