The Red Lion Area Senior High School Marching Lions located in Red Lion, Pennsylvania is currently in search of an additional full or part time Color Guard Instructor for a 24-member color guard. Rehearsals during the school year are held Tuesdays 3-530; Wednesdays 530-8PM, and Thursdays 6PM-9PM. Looking for a candidate to begin around August 13, 2018. Responsibilities would include organizing, structuring and running all drumline rehearsals; being present at full band rehearsals for both drumline and field instruction; being present for competitions and competition rehearsals in the aforementioned capacity. The Council Rock North Marching Band is looking for a Colorguard/Winterguard Instructor to be present at all rehearsals, games, and competitions, including Band Camp. During Marching Band season, rehearsals are usually on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-5:30. Football games are usually on Fridays, and Competitions are on Saturdays. Band Camp takes place in the second and third full weeks of August. The fall rehearsal schedule begins when Band Camp ends. Winterguard begins in December and runs into the spring. Winterguard rehearses twice during the week and once on the weekend (Saturday). The Colorguard/Winterguard Instructor’s duties include working with the Band Director to design the field show, designing the Winterguard show, designing/teaching all choreography/work for both fall and winter shows, and coordinating the Winterguard schedule.
The Council Rock North Marching Band is looking for a Pit (Front Ensemble) Instructor to be present at all rehearsals, games, and competitions, including Band Camp. There are three rehearsals per week (two with the entire Band from 3:00-5:30 and one devoted percussion sectional to be determined based on the Instructor’s availability). Football games are usually on Fridays, and Competitions are on Saturdays. Band Camp takes place in the second and third full weeks of August. The fall rehearsal schedule begins when Band Camp ends. The Pit Instructor will work with students to facilitate learning music for the competition show, football games, and parades as well as technical development on the instruments.
